The mares and foals at the Rankin breeding farm drew a record 355 attendees as equine lovers new and old enjoyed a day with the horses during the annual Open House on Saturday, May 30.

“My wife and I thought it was a wonderful day,” Tom Rankin said. “To see the smiles and gratitude of those attending made our day.”

RECORD CROWD AT TOM RANKIN’S OPEN HOUSE
May 30, 2026

During the Open House, Tom’s mare, Miss Adam T, paced back and forth in the back stall as she was a month overdue. A few hours after the event, she foaled a big, beautiful stud colt by Tom’s stallion, Run Director. As you can see from the photo below, both the mare and foal are healthy.

The mare in the front stall, Absolut Seelster, also foaled a healthy stud colt a few days after the event.

VIP DAY AT CLINTON RACEWAY

August 17, 2025

On Sunday, August 17, 2025, the Bill Galvin Racing Alliance and Clinton Raceway collaborated on an event for 75 people, most of whom had never been to the races before.

36 VIPs and their guests had a great afternoon where they learned about the harness racing industry and got to experience several behind the scenes activities. Rides on double seated jog carts and in the starting gate as well as tours of the paddock, added to the excitement of the day as well as the chance to have their name drawn to be matched with a horse in the BGRA race. Kylie Smith was matched up with the eventual winner, Zippennrippen and took home $1,000. The next 4 finishers also rewarded their VIPs with cash payouts.

Thanks to Clinton Raceway and their staff and to all of our wonderful volunteers for making this day happen.
