Tom Rankin Breeding Farm Open House

10:00 am-1:00 pm

For the fourth consecutive year, Tom Rankin will open the doors to his St. Catharines Breeding Farm on Saturday, May 30th, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Visitors are welcome to attend but should register by Wednesday, May 27th, by calling the Rankin Construction office at 905-684-1111.

At least seven mares are expected to have foals on the ground by the event date. As the birthplace of several champion racehorses, this facility offers a unique opportunity to get a first look at the next generation of equine talent.

Students entering the Youth Literary Derby or the Youth Art Derby—both sponsored by Mr. Rankin—are encouraged to attend to find inspiration for their submissions. For more details on these contests, please visit the Contest pages on our website. Please note that entries for both Derbies close on August 31st.

Clinton Raceway Opening Day

Sunday, May 31, 2026

The BGRA will be onsite with the Virtual Reality Harness Driving display at Clinton Raceway for their opening day on Sunday, May 31st.

Join us for a fun day at the races and experience the thrill of driving a horse in a virtual Standardbred race. Free and fun for anyone 8 years old and up.

We will be set up in the tent starting at 12:00. First race goes at 1:30. Parking and admision is free at Ontario racetracks.
